About

Hello and thanks for visiting! My name is Jeff Kuo and I studied at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in the spring of 2007. Here I write about my time there, my travels, and the little interesting things I discover about Asia.
FYI:
Hong Kong means “Fragrant Harbor” in Chinese.
It is a Special Administrative Region under the People’s Republic of China, and operates on a different legal and financial system.
The three major universities in Hong Kong are Hong Kong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
It is the third most densely populated city in the world.
The HK Dollar exchanges at about 7.8 per $1 US.
The time difference from PST is +16 hours. For example, if it’s 3PM on Monday in California, it’s 7AM on Tuesday in Hong Kong. Unless we’re on Daylight Savings Time, in which case it’s +15 hours.
They use the metric system and drive on the left here, argh.
